Atlanta ACE unit arrest 5 people after they use the PIT maneuver to end a police pursuit

Atlanta, GA - On February 28, 2025, at 12:39 p.m., Atlanta Police responded to a vehicle break-in at 96 Lakeview Dr. NE, where multiple suspects brandished firearms at the victim. A citywide BOLO was issued for the armed and dangerous suspects, and at 2:42 p.m., A.C.E. Unit officers located the suspect vehicle.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle on I-20 eastbound, but the suspects refused, leading to a pursuit. Officers executed two PIT maneuvers to end the chase. During the pursuit, the suspects threw multiple firearms from the vehicle, all of which were later recovered.

One of the recovered firearms had been reported stolen. A total of five suspects were detained: Elijah Boyd (04/1997), Rodrekas Seaborn (06/05), Raquarez Thompkins (10/03), Jacolbi Wideman (05/04), and Marquavious Walker (10/03). Elijah Boyd, the driver, was arrested and charged with Fleeing & Eluding. Raquarez Thompkins was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

He was also taken into custody for an active warrant out of DeKalb County.

Marquavious Walker was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of DeKalb County.

Jacolbi Wideman and Rodrekas Seaborn were detained pending further investigation.
