We’re taking a trip to the Lone Star State—from our kitchen in the UK! Today, Mr. & Mrs. H are making an authentic Texas Sheet Cake from scratch, and it’s our FIRST TIME ever trying this Southern chocolate dessert! This classic moist, fudgy, and decadent chocolate cake is a staple at Texas gatherings, but will it win over these Brits?

To make this experience even more authentic, we’re also trying it the American way—with a cold glass of milk! Apparently, this is the best way to enjoy Texas Sheet Cake, but since Brits don’t typically drink milk with cake, this is a totally new experience for us! Will the milk make a difference? Will this iconic Southern dessert become a new family favorite?
