Scott Jennings Drops A Reality Check About Media Hyped Protesters At Republican Town Halls

Posted • March 3, 2025: Some Republican members of Congress have been holding town hall meetings in their districts, and they've been met by people ostensibly protesting what's happened during the first few weeks of Trump's second term. The incurious media has been happy to frame these people as having genuine concern about cuts to the federal government while also dropping hints that these could be Republicans regretting their votes in November (thus fueling one of the Left's latest false narratives). Here's the beginning of a recent story from NBC News: “Many members of the House skipped holding large, public events while out of Washington this week. But the Republicans who did hold town halls back home got an earful. At events from Georgia and Wisconsin to Oklahoma and Oregon, House Republicans faced sometimes-hostile crowds furious about the sweeping budget cuts and mass firings of federal workers that President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency are carrying out.”

“With the House on recess and many lawmakers returning to their districts, this week was the first opportunity for them to hear directly from constituents about Trump and Musk’s scorched-earth strategy to cut spending and shrink the federal government's footprint.” —— Most takes from the media paint all this as grassroots concern for Trump's policies, but on CNN Scott Jennings pointed out where most of this really comes from. "Nobody loves going to a Republican town hall meeting like crazed liberal Democrat activists. They hated Donald Trump before. They hate Donald Trump today." Scott Jennings continues to speak the truth on CNN. Exactly. "Look at all these people who voted for Trump who are regretting their vote" is the latest Dem/media gaslighting effort. If Antifa thugs are upset with Trump, he must be doing a good job! These protests and how the media spins them are part of another funded effort on the Left to make it look like more people oppose Trump's policies than actually do.

What is happening at Republican Townhalls? Simple, the left is busing people into these town halls to showdown these representatives to make it seem like folks in their district are opposed to DOGE and the Trump administration agenda. However, that simply isn't reality. The majority of these people don't live in the district, didn't vote for the GOP Representatives or Trump in 2024. If you don't understand that I simply don't know what to tell you. If you fall for this stupidity then you deserve to be replaced (Rich McCormick.) What is their ultimate goal? To make it seem like a majority of folks back home are outraged about DOGE trying to save the taxpayer's money or they are mad about what Trump is doing to the put country back on track. If your district is 60-40 or 70-30 it's easy to get a couple of hundreds of people who always vote blue to come and shout at people to make it seem like Trump is done or Musk is hated. Remember a lot of this is happening in Deep Red Seats. However, this doesn't reflect polling at all.

A majority of polls have Trump's approval rating about water or tied. The same goes for Musk. So if they were in their low to mid-30s you might say ok but doesn't line up with reality. Why doesn't our side do anything? Simple most GOP people I know don't show up to any of these town halls because they are living their normal regular-day lives. This is a topic for a different day but people say they want change but the minute you start to deliver change people panic and don't change. DOGE is doing what it needs to do for America. Another topic for another day is why Independents are the worst voters in America. What should we do? Personally, I would fight fire with fire. I would call these fools and idiots out hard with the facts or point out why they are dead wrong. Most of these losers won't vote for you anyway so what do you have to lose? If they complain about opening in Prayer ask why they are intolerant towards Faith or why are they Christophobia.
