Rep. John James: “Russia is the aggressor, but Zelensky fumbled.” The Michigan congressman didn’t hold back on CBS’s Face the Nation, calling Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” while also criticizing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s leadership. James, a combat veteran, emphasized that America must stand with its allies but also demand accountability for the billions sent to Ukraine under Biden.

James argued that Trump’s strategy is focused on “lasting peace,” unlike Biden’s approach, which he says lacks a clear mission or exit strategy. With Ukrainian Americans in his district, James acknowledged the importance of U.S. support for Ukraine but insisted that transparency is key. “Trump already ended one war in the Middle East,” he said. “Let’s give him a chance to end one in Europe.”
