Monarch Caterpillars: Milkweed Munching Mayhem

Near total destruction of my milkweed was achieved by these little guys this weekend..

I rescued as many as I could, moving them from gnawed down twigs to fresh green leafed milkweed plants..

How many will survive?
Ants, birds and invasive curly tail lizards are all stalking them for a feast...

Truly is amazing how much these little guys have to overcome just so they can turn to goo and start the next process.

Last time I saw 8 new butterflies through their entire process, here's to hoping I can top that number this round!
