Thursday is crossover day. There will be 40 bills in the Senate alone to be moved over to the house. You have the digital ID bill,
President Trump since winning the election has said paper ballots, voter ID, one day elections over and over. You will hear lawmakers and people in the GOP will say that they support the president and that the president has a mandate. Trump campaigned on the paper ballots. The American people knew well before they went to the poll that Trump wanted to correct our election system.
When the GA legislative session started someone could have carried a bill asking for paper ballots from the GA GOP from the election integrity committee. Josh McKoon who wants another term should be supporting a bill for paper ballots. But 3 weeks after the legislative session started McKoon released the supported legislation by the GOP.
Patriots met early with the lawmakers. These patriots were very clear in asking for these lawmakers to introduce legislation for paper ballots.
President Trump looked at every governor including Brian Kemp to require paper ballots.
The other day there was a bill, Senator Colton Moore sponsored a bill SB303 for paper ballots. Senator Colton Moore, Senator Gooch, Senator Dolezal signed on to the bill. The bill was in the state hooper on 2/27, it was read and referred on 2/28. People are pushing for it to get into committee. It has to be in committee today for it to be voted on.
Where was the bill on the first day of the session? SB1 is the bill that we are all to applaud but it is the right thing to do years ago, and you allowed it to happen in GA. While the House is working on a database for your children, and a digital ID, and over here you have them working on tort reform. But they wanted to have 2 separate bills, one in the House “Riley Gaines Act” and the Senate “SB1.” And they passed the largest budget in state history. And do you have to wonder which bill the governor will sign.
NOT one member of congress put the bill on the floor for paper ballots on the floor to get it passed.
The bills have to come out of committee today.
How many of you go on social media and you see your lawmaker with a big Thank you, those are PACs funded by lobbyists to make it look like your lawmakers are supporting something good for the citizens. But it is for the benefit of the lawmaker.
