NT Framework 77 Filling

Tomorrow we will talk about the filling of the Spirit and also walking by the Spirit and abiding in Christ. This is the only ministry of the Spirit that we have to obey a command in order to enjoy. Regeneration, indwelling, and the others we will study happen automatically, but this one requires us to obey. This is the deciding factor in the spiritual fellowship and maturity of the believer. This is the one that some theologies like Lordship basically think is automatic. It’s not automatic. The Spirit is always at work in us, but the very fact we can grieve Him shows that spiritual fellowship and maturity are not automatic. There’s some interesting things in this lesson. There’s something that seems to explain why there are really only two types of believers.
