Berryman's B12 treatment for Scion xB oil consumption issue

I recently purchased this low mileage 2010 Scion xB, but in the maintenance records that were included I was found that the oil consumption check had been done at a dealer (and it failed) but the repair work was never performed.

As a preventive measure, and to try and reduce any oil consumption, I'm performing a Berryman's treatment as part of an oil change. It involves adding Berryman's B12 fuel system cleaner into the cylinders through the spark plug holes and letting it sit to dissolve oil buildup that may be clogging the piston rings.

I had already drained the oil from the engine as part of the oil change, but I left the drain plug out and the catch pan underneath to catch the Berryman solvent and residue as it made its way past the piston rings down the cylinder walls to the oil pan and now out into the catch pan.

I decided to make two treatments. I added the solvent one day and let it drain through, and then again the next day and let it drain through.

I'll continue to monitor the oil level for any oil consumption at each fill up, and I'll probably perform this treatment once a year if it otherwise looks okay.

Had the repair measures been performed by Toyota under the previous owner while it was still available as an option, it would have involved replacing the pistons and rings for ones that don't clog. that is still available as an option to perform on my own, but this treatment seems to have good results, judging from others who have posted online, and can postpone or eliminate the need to perform the piston and ring replacement.
