Lama Dawa's Commentary:
So, here the Buddha is talking about our mind and our thoughts and how the mind works, when it is deprived of wisdom.

Without wisdom, we are truly out of our element.

We are lost.

We don't know what's truly the right way to be.

We may have good intentions, we may try our best, but often and generally we are at the mercy of our habits, the mercy of the patterns of our mind, the mercy of distraction, and basically confused.

Confusion is not our natural home or our natural place.

What the Buddha is reminding us here is that our true home is wisdom.

That wisdom is something we can reclaim.

And when we abide in a place of wisdom, of relaxed openness, of confident awareness, we are in our natural place, we are in our comfort zone, and we can act in a way that is of benefit to ourselves and to others.
