Hello guys, it's been two months since I last time filmed a walking tour video. This winter has been rough with freezing cold temperatures, wind chills, snow storms, and I have been busy with school and remote work. We're in the last part of winter, so the weather is starting to get better each day. For this video, I toured around Financial District in Lower Manhattan. The Financial District is home to New York's financial center, home to Wall Street, Stock Exchange, Charging Bull statue, Fearless Girl statue, busy streets, nice restaurants and bars, NYC souvenir gift shops, the 9/11 memorial sites and museum with the footprints of the former Twin Towers, the World Trade Center, South Street Seaport, other skyscrapers, young professionals, and plenty of tourists coming in. The One World Trade Center makes up a good part of Lower Manhattan's skyline, viewed from Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn, and New Jersey. This skyscraper is the tallest tower in the U.S. and 7th most tallest in the world.

The Twin Towers were affected during the September 11th attacks in 2001 as America's most darkest day ever. This tragedy had affected the whole country of Americans, including New Yorkers. Both of the Twin Towers were fallen down by hijacked planes coming from terrorist organization Al Qaeda, notorious leaders Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri. About 2,977 people were killed in this terrorist attack and 6,000 people left injured during that day. Many Americans were showing their true colors of being proud Americans after 9/11 happened. They had many US flags everywhere in public. For the people of New York, many of them attended baseball games such as visiting the Yankees Stadium each day. Other sports like football and basketball were common for people to look up to after the big tragedy took place. There are plenty of documentaries that talk about 9/11. There are conspiracy theories behind 9/11 with some people saying that it was planned by certain terrorist groups based on the US government having a foreign policy with Israel. The conspiracy theories that either claim to be true or false might leave you shocked after learning these story narratives. For today, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is a historical place museum and a tourist attraction to see the plaza, pools, and exhibits honoring the victims of the 1993 World Trade Center attacks and 2001 September 11th attacks.

Financial District gained more developments after 9/11 and so did the whole city of New York. The other side with Jersey City first gained massive developments from New Yorkers moving in and working there. Wall Street became a notable street with the stock exchange, having former stockbroker Jordan Belfort a historical businessman and his famous biopic movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" with actor Leonardo DiCaprio playing as him. Although, Jordan Belfort was charged with fraud and other crimes to stock manipulation by running a mysterious scam. He was plead guilty in 1999. The law firm Stratton Oakmont that Belfort got involved, became the largest counter firm in the United States between the 1980s and 1990s. The Wolf of Wall Street is a rated R film (released in 2013) portraying Jordan Belfort becoming a businessman to invest his own firm, Stratton Oakmont with his lieutenant and stockbrokers. This is a good movie to watch.

The Brookfield Place is a luxury mall to visit. It is a shopping center and an office building complex near Battery Park. Notable statues like the Charging Bull, Fearless Girl, George Washington, and Benjamin Franklin are pretty cool to see. The Museum of Jewish Heritage contains a Holocaust memorial to see, while it has exhibits about Jewish history, Judaism, life, and culture. Many tourists can visit the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge in one day, since the two notable sites both connect.
