To be good soil and bear fruit, we must fight the devil, deepen our faith, and resist temptations. Prayer, especially deep, silent, interior prayer, draws us closer to God and deepens our love for Him. Through prayer, we persevere through dryness and darkness, strengthening our faith and bearing spiritual fruit.
