Dollar General’s Latest Store Policy Change Has Customers Very Upset
However, a new policy the store’s recently been implementing has shoppers upset.

Dollar General’s new policy involves scanning customers’ licenses to verify their birth date when buying age-restricted items, rather than just looking at the license to confirm. Shoppers immediately took to X, (formerly known as Twitter), to express their grievances.

One shopper tweeted, “@DollarGeneral stop scanning driver’s license when the information is on the front of the license. There’s no reason to scan a license. You’re picking up the barcode, [which] has other information on it, storing it, and using it for other purposes!”

Dollar General wasted no time in responding to the user: “Dollar General is committed to meeting or exceeding state regulation and industry expectations when selling age-restricted products. To ensure we sell these products in a safe and responsible manner, our stores verify customers’ ages by scanning driver’s licenses.” #genz #millennials #boomers #economy #inflation #costofliving #hyperinflation #genx #jobs #jobmarket #layoffs #college #genz #studentloans #debt #comdey #cars #carpayments #housingmarket #rent #burnout #recession #finance #moderndating #ebay #independent Hyperinflation #middleclass #middleclassfamily #millennials #boomers #9to5 #vanlife #america #passport
