I made several solo attempts at Master level difficulty but they didn't work out. In the end, I decided to do co-op so I could at learn the mission better. A few observations:

1) Master-level enemies aren't that difficult to fight. What makes the mission hard is the game design. Most areas of the mission have infinite waves of enemy spawns. They spawn near you, behnd you, and generally end up surrounding you CONSTANTLY. This is why the mission is difficult, not because the enemies by themselves are that much stronger.

2) All solo builds need some way to get armor back. In this mission, your character will get surrounded quite often. Enemies frequently spawn near you or behind you. Taking damage is inevitable. Without a way to get armor back, the mission will wear your character down.

3) This is a mission that might require lots of patience to complete solo. Your character will survive much longer if you hang back and take your time.

4) The build listed below is not recommended for solo play, but it is good enough for co-op. It's essentially my normal Striker build, but switching out Eagle's Grasp for a Belstone Armory.
