Chalk Dreams On The Street

[Verse 1]
Wheels on my feet, rolling down the lane,
Underneath the sun, where the world feels plain.
With a twinkle in my eye and a box of chalk,
I sketch my stories where the people walk.
Each line a memory, each swirl a dream,
On the grey sidewalk, I’m painting my theme.

[Chorus]
I like to draw on the street, oh so free,
Colors of the world are a part of me.
A line or two, or three or more,
With every stroke, I find what I adore.
Black street grey sidewalk, yellow chalk in hand,
Creating art where I stand.

[Verse 2]
The sun sets low, casting shadows long,
In this simple moment, I feel so strong.
Not much talk, just the breeze and the sound,
Heart filled with joy as my world spins around.
I might run out of paper, but in the street,
There’s art in every corner, my spirit's heartbeat.

[Chorus]
I like to draw on the street, oh so free,
Colors of the world are a part of me.
A line or two, or three or more,
With every stroke, I find what I adore.
Black street grey sidewalk, yellow chalk in hand,
Creating art where I stand.

[Bridge]
But oh, when the rain comes, it washes away,
All my dreams and lines, in a fleeting ballet.
Yet every droplet brings a clean slate,
Another chance to create, I won’t hesitate.
A new canvas awaits, every storm has its song,
I’ll keep on drawing, and where I belong.

[Chorus]
I like to draw on the street, oh so free,
Colors of the world are a part of me.
A line or two, or three or more,
With every stroke, I find what I adore.
Black street grey sidewalk, yellow chalk in hand,
Creating art where I stand.

[Outro]
So here’s to the moments, both fleeting and bright,
With wheels on my feet, I’ll dance through the night.
In the dance of the street, where dreams intertwine,
I find my solace, in every line.
