Tragic Fall: Woman Dies After Climbing Border Fence Near Otay Mesa

A 24-year-old Guatemalan woman tragically fell to her death while attempting to climb down the 30-foot-tall border fence near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry.

U.S. Border Patrol agents arrived at the scene and warned her not to descend, but she became stuck and was unable to hold on. Despite emergency response efforts, she suffered fatal injuries upon impact.
