Old Fashioned Strawberry Ice Cream

This strawberry ice cream recipe came as a variation of a peach ice cream recipe in my Great-Grandmother's 1913 cookbook. It was so simple yet delicious, I wanted to try some different flavors. I love that no special equipment is needed and it is so fast to make. Strawberries are one of my favorite fruit. I can add them to just about anything and know I will like it. Since I often have cream from my cow I was bound to try this combination eventually. The burst of fresh strawberry flavor in each bite with the smooth cream is just amazing.
