We are looking at current events or places in our world today to compare with Biblical Prophecy. Today, we are considering Persia, or modern Iran.
We find Persia referenced in the following passages:

We also make analogy of Iran with Jesus' comments in John 8:37-47.
Persia, or modern Iran, is an ally with the Northern coalition the goes against Israel in the Gog-Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39.
Modern Iran is of great interest in the Middle East scene today.
