On April 20, 2018, a tragic school shooting unfolded at Forest High School in Ocala, Florida, on the 19th anniversary of the Columbine massacre. A 19-year-old former student, Sky Bouche, entered the school armed with a shotgun and fired a single shot through a classroom door, injuring a 17-year-old student in the ankle.

🚨 Fast Police Response 🚨
The chaos triggered an immediate lockdown as students and staff scrambled for safety. School resource officer Deputy Jim Long responded within three minutes, confronting the shooter and taking him into custody without further gunfire.

🔍 Shooter’s Motive
After his arrest, Bouche claimed he felt isolated and wanted to "test himself", later expressing regret. Authorities confirmed he had legally purchased the weapon and had mental health struggles leading up to the attack.
