It would be a lot more beneficial for your mitochondria and metabolic processes to utilize much more of one than the other.

Being metabolically flexible is difficult for people in positions who are trying to lose weight. Limiting the energy source options helps metabolism. A higher fat diet can create a better hormonal milieu for fat utilization and therefore weightloss.
