DORCAS: THE WOMAN WHO JOYOUSLY GAVE

Every time I read this particular passage of scripture, every time I read this story of Dorcas/Tabatha, I learn something new about this woman, and today was no different. To start with both names for the same woman, happened to mean the same thing and that is gazelle. This woman was a gazelle in her actions as well as her personality, because she put her faith into action, and that's the person I pray that God molds me and shapes me into. I want to be showing my faith, have my actions of kindness testify to the faith that I have in Christ, and I pray that something you want in your life too

I was especially encouraged as well as challenged by this particular question out of this morning's devotional, and I had to share it with you tonight. Please read this question carefully, and I pray that God speaks to your heart through it.

What has it meant for you to receive gifts of kindness?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me not just from this morning scripture, but what it truly means to joyously give of oneself, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you, will encourage and motivate you to want to share some surprise gifts of kindness with others. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that it motivates you to want to share those surprise gifts of kindness with others today.

What gifts can you share with others?

I pray tonight that you take time to go before the Lord, and ask him to not only remind you to be kind to others, but to show you ways in which you could share some surprise gifts of kindness, compassion, love, and mercy with others today. Don't be stingy and sharing your gifts and treasures with others, because you don't want to keep the good news of Jesus Christ to yourself. I want to echo something that I've heard before, and that we are the only example, we are the only living walking representation of Jesus Christ that this world sees, so we better make sure that we are representing our savior properly! Remember guys, as Katara states so very well, “Our actions of kindness can be some of the most memorable testifying we do. As God provides, let's share some surprise gifts with others today.”
