The Federation Council approved the law on ratification of the treaty between Russia and Belarus on security guarantees within the Union State.

The document was submitted for ratification by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Under the agreement, the parties undertake to support each other by all means and means agreed and allowed by international law, to take appropriate actions in the political, military and other spheres in cases of encroachment on the security of either party and the Union State as a whole.
