A memorial for the fallen figure skaters at the ice rink - 2/25/25

A solemn moment for me. I did not expect to see a memorial there. My heart aches for the fallen skaters and their grieved families.

I remember playing hockey, among figure skaters in Minnesota. They came to watch us practice or play in games. We would stay around and watch them, too. FIgure skaters and hockey players have a special relationship because we share the same love for skating. I did not mention a special moment in this vlog... in the summer of 1978, Hockey Legend Bobby Orr and I watched figure skaters practice in Chicago before our Deaf Olympic hockey practice. So, that is why I had a heavy heart this morning.
