Could we really get rid of the Federal Income Tax?

Did you know? Before 1913, no income tax, no IRS, no Federal Reserve. Then came the 16th Amendment—letting Congress tax your wages and spread it however they wanted. Before that, taxes had to be split evenly among states by population, not income. Didn’t work.

1913 also gave us the IRS—the debt collectors—and the Federal Reserve, a private org printing money, not a government agency. Now? $37 trillion in debt. Imagine no income tax, no IRS—just a consumption tax, like sales tax, run by states. Lean federal government, states handle the rest. They’ve already got the setup—your burger checkout proves it. Time for a new system!
