This is the cause of the high price of eggs

"There are many reports placing the responsibility on this White House for the rising cost of eggs. I want to point out to each of you that in 2024, when Joe Biden was in the Oval Office—or upstairs in the residence sleeping, I’m not so sure—egg prices increased by 65% in this country. We have also seen that the cost of everything—not just eggs, but bacon, groceries, and gasoline—has risen due to the inflationary policies of the previous administration.

As for the egg shortage, another contributing factor is that the Biden administration, through the Department of Agriculture, ordered the mass culling of over 100 million hens, leading to a lack of chicken supply in this country and, consequently, a shortage of eggs, which is causing the current scarcity.

So I’ll leave you with this point. This is an example of why it is so incredibly important for the Senate to move quickly in confirming all of President Trump’s nominees, including his nominee for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, who is already in discussions with Kevin Hassett, the leader of the economic team here at the White House, about how we can address the egg shortage in this country.

As for costs, I have outlined the many ways in which President Trump has worked to lower costs for the American people over the past week. He looks forward to continuing those efforts in the coming days."
