LUCASFILM President KATHLEEN KENNEDY is Out

It has been announced the Kathleen Kennedy will step down from her role as president of Lucasfilm by the end of the year.

Since Kathleen Kennedy took over she has been largely blamed for the fracturing of Star Wars as a brand. Much of this is attributed to her insistence that Star Wars push a modern day political messaging. It’s unclear at this time who will replace her, but the likely candidate is Dave Filoni, the current Chief Creative Officer for Lucasfilm.
