Las Medulas is one of the most amazing places in Spain, which is rightfully considered a unique attraction.

The spectacular landscapes, reminiscent of something out of Avatar, with golden slopes covered in dense forests, attract thousands of tourists every year.

Although today it is mainly a natural monument, it was once the site of an important gold mining center during the era of Ancient Rome. The Romans mined gold in the area in the 1st-3rd centuries AD.
