Lords of the Fallen: Earnest Ed 14

Commentated playthrough of a new character I've made named Earnest Ed.

Language warning: profanity and at times profuse complaining.

In this episode I take on the Spurned Progeny. I say in the video that I consider it the 'first real boss' because you 'don't see him again', but the Hushed Saint and Congregator of Flesh are indeed both unique encounters. I didn't say it but the reason for skipping over them is that the Spurned Progeny has what is in my opinion a bossfight with enough components that it stands out in the early game, comparatively.

That's not to say the Congregator of Flesh and Hushed Saint fights are forgettable, far from it actually. More that they have less moving parts and are more straightforward, whereas the Spurned Progeny has a global AOE you have to hide behind terrain to avoid, a phase change where you have to fight it on an entirely different horizontal plane, and a very different series of attacks in the second phase that allow for either a pure melee, pure caster/ranged, or hybrid (as shown in the video) approach with different strategies applicable to each.

Also I have a soft spot for bosses that mess you up if you dodge instead of sprint to escape from an attack or series of attacks.
