Posted • February 23, 2025: A police officer was killed and several others injured when a gunman entered UPMC Memorial Hospital in West Manchester, Pennsylvania. One officer was killed and several others, including another officer and a nurse, were reportedly injured in a shooting at a hospital in York County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, according to law enforcement sources briefed on the matter. West York Borough police officer Andrew Duarte was killed, and two other officers sustained gunshot wounds in an exchange of gunfire with the gunman, who has been identified as Diogenes Archangel Ortiz.
