[Verse 1]
Why do the heathen rage, in their furious plight,
Imagining their plans, darkening the light?
Kings of the earth plotting under the sun,
They gather together, thinking they have won.
But the heavens are laughing at their foolish schemes,
For God’s in control, shattering their dreams.

[Chorus]
He reigns on high, and He won't be moved,
No rulers or kings can shake what’s been proved.
Against His anointed, they take their stand,
But the Lord is our refuge, and He holds the land.

[Verse 2]
“Let us break these bands,” they cry in their pride,
Casting off the cords, thinking they can hide.
But truth is a sword, and the might of His hand,
Will break every chain, will restore this land.
Come, you rulers, be wise, heed the righteous call,
Serve the Lord with fear before you stumble and fall.

[Chorus]
He reigns on high, and He won't be moved,
No rulers or kings can shake what’s been proved.
Against His anointed, they take their stand,
But the Lord is our refuge, and He holds the land.

[Bridge]
On the holy hill of Zion, His King takes the throne,
The decree is declared, in Him we have grown.
“You are my Son,” the Lord softly declares,
In this battle of hearts, He’s always aware.

[Verse 3]
So ask of Him, and He’ll give you your claim,
The nations as your heritage, through His holy name.
Against the stormy seas, the winds may arise,
Yet His rod of iron will break every lie.

[Chorus]
He reigns on high, and He won't be moved,
No rulers or kings can shake what’s been proved.
Against His anointed, they take their stand,
But the Lord is our refuge, and He holds the land.

[Outro]
Rejoice with trembling, lift your voices and sing,
For the Lord is the one, our eternal King.
In the shadows of doubt, let His truth lead the way,
For He’s the light in the dark, our hope every day.
