### **🛒 Ingredients:**
#### **For the Steak:**
- **2 beef steaks** (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon, about 1½ inches thick)
- **Salt & black pepper** (to taste)
- **1 tbsp olive oil**
- **1 tbsp unsalted butter**
#### **For the Mushroom Cream Sauce:**
- **1 tbsp butter**
- **8 oz mushrooms** (cremini or button, sliced)
- **1 small shallot** (finely chopped)
- **2 cloves garlic** (minced)
- **½ cup beef broth or white wine**
- **½ cup heavy cream**
- **1 tsp Dijon mustard** (optional, for extra depth)
- **½ tsp Worcestershire sauce** (optional)
- **Fresh thyme or parsley** (for garnish)

### **🔪 Instructions:**
#### **1️⃣ Cook the Steak:**
- Pat the steaks dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat **olive oil and butter** in a heavy skillet (cast iron is best) over **medium-high heat**.
- Sear the steaks for **3-4 minutes per side** (adjust for preferred doneness).
- Transfer to a plate and tent with foil.
#### **2️⃣ Make the Mushroom Cream Sauce:**
- In the same pan, melt **1 tbsp butter** and add mushrooms. Sauté for **5 minutes** until browned.
- Add shallots and garlic, cooking for **1-2 minutes** until fragrant.
- Deglaze the pan with **beef broth or white wine**, scraping up the browned bits. Simmer for **2 minutes**.
- Stir in **heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce**. Simmer for **3-5 minutes** until thickened.
#### **3️⃣ Serve & Enjoy:**
- Pour the mushroom cream sauce over the steaks.
- Garnish with **fresh thyme or parsley**.
- Serve with **mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or buttered asparagus!**
