Faith That Knows Authority

One of the foundational aspects of mountain-moving faith is the perspective of spiritual authority. People who dare to walk in the Spirit and seek activated faith in their lives each day grasp for the spiritual authority to stop the forces of evil and move the monuments of the wicked’s subversive plans out of existence.

There are physical laws like what goes up must come down. Laws concerning the physical realm are all about us

Yeshua walked on water. Physical laws say He can’t do that. His spiritual authority over even the physical consistency of H2O was and is greater than the laws of physics. We see this as a miracle, and when we ask, “How did He do this?” we must conclude that His Spirit’s authority is greater than that which He set in all creation. This helps us to understand that faith includes authority.

Yeshua explains some of this authority principle to His disciples and to us:
“The seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are
subject to us through Your Name.’ He said to them, ‘I saw the Satan
falling out of Heaven as lightning! Behold, I have given you the authority
to tread on serpents and scorpions
and on all the power of the hostile one, and nothing shall
hurt you, no, never!
‘Do not rejoice in this, that the evil spirits submit to you.
But rather rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.’”
Luke 10:17-20

Spirit authority nullifies all the laborious work that the kingdom of darkness sets up in creation around us. Remember that this kind of authority was first given in Genesis 1:26

When we think about the spiritual authority that exists in faith, we can also turn to the man who marveled Yeshua. The only time in the gospels that it is said that Yeshua “marveled” was when a centurion declared his understanding of authority and related it to the authority that Christ had to heal the sick. Yeshua then makes the bold statement that would have confounded every Jew who heard Him.
He said, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel.”

Here it is:
“And when Yeshua entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, imploring Him, and saying, ‘Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, fearfully tormented.’ Yeshua said to him, ‘I will come and heal him.’ But the centurion said, ‘Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me;
and I say to this one, “Go!” and he goes, and to another, “Come!”
and he comes, and to my slave, “Do this!” and he does it.’”
Matthew 8:9 NASB

In this powerful statement, Yeshua restores all hope to mankind and replaces the boundary lines of authority beyond the realms of Israel only, or any religious sect for that matter. The love and want for authority caused Israel to look in earthly places, but Yeshua proclaims that this position of authority was in the heavenlies, that is, in faith. The Centurion: “I am a man under authority!” Yeshua marveled at his faith! “Without faith, it is impossible to please Him!”

If the gentile Roman Soldier, a centurion officer, was able to marvel (please) Yeshua, then you and I are capable of doing the same.
