All Things Spiritual-Revelation 12

Revelation 12:1 depicts a woman in heaven with a sun, moon, and crown of twelve stars. She is pregnant with a child and cries for her delivery. A great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns appears, threatening to devour her child. The woman brings forth a man child, who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron. The woman flees into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared for her. A war ensues, and the dragon and his angels do not prevail. The great dragon is cast out, and Satan, the old serpent, is cast out into the earth. The church is portrayed as a woman, representing its inherent weakness and role as the bride of Christ. Satan's attempts to hinder the church's growth are depicted as a great red dragon, symbolizing his strength, fierceness, and cruelty. The church's ultimate victory is achieved through the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.
