Habits are automatic behavior that occurs in response to an environmental cues, stimulus or routine. Examples, there are both positive habits and negative habits in everyday life. Other habits are formed as generally there's a trigger that starts the habit, some event or some other habit, and then there's a routine, the action or behavior that follows the cue and then the reward. There's some benefit or satisfaction that reinforces the habit. Kind of like Pavlov's dog.
