Suno - Annual Christmas Mall Brawl

This is one of my early efforts at writing something humorous, and I had to do some post-production work on it later to fix some of the more dubious lyrics. Since the sometimes violent commercial rush of the Christmas season is a rather popular subject to lampoon, this song is a mock-sentimental piece about the annual struggle—sometimes of a very material and physical kind—many parents face to acquire whatever artificially rare toy is most in demand for the year (everything from Cabbage Patch Kids and Transformers in the 1980s to Beanie Babies and Furbies and Tickle Me Elmos in the 1990s to various video gaming consoles and other flashy gadgets in the decades thereafter). After all, nothing says "peace on Earth" and "goodwill to men" like crazed shoppers beating the crap out of each other trying to acquire gifts that are probably going to lose nearly all value almost immediately after they're given!

Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Snow is falling, lights aglow;
Parents ready to put on a show;
In the mall, where dreams are sold,
Fighting for the toy of gold!

[Verse 2]
Shopping carts in tangled lines;
Parents sweat in battle signs;
Knuckles bare, and hearts so bold,
For that toy they're taking hold!

[Bridge 1]
Christmas wish comes with a price:
Parents fight, bludgeon, and slice
For the joy of their little one;
Victories not easily won!

[Verse 3]
Silent night becomes a roar
In toy aisles on the floor;
Hearts race faster than the sleigh
For that toy this holiday!

[Bridge 2]
Tinsel torn, and bows askew;
Each year, this fight renews.
Yet—in the end—they hope and pray
For a brighter Christmas Day...

[Verse 4]
Children dream of sugarplums;
Parents bruised with broken thumbs;
In the end they smile and say
It's worth it for that toy today!
