We The People Call To Arms For All The Somebodies

In 2023 a nobody named Christopher Anthony Lunsford had enough of all the bullshit, picked up his guitar and became the voice of all the somebodies who didn't have one.

He adopted his grandfather's name "Oliver Anthony" as his stage name in homage to the Depression era in which he lived. Anthony was born and raised in the Piedmont area of Virginia and currently resides in Farmville, Virginia. He lived with his wife and two children in a $750 camper on an off-the-grid 90-acre property, where he intends to raise livestock.

Anthony dropped out of high school in 2010 at the age of 17, and later secured a General Educational Development diploma; he went on to work in industrial jobs in North Carolina and Virginia. At a paper mill in North Carolina, he had a work accident in 2013 which fractured his skull, leaving him unable to work for half a year. From 2014 through 2023 he worked in outside sales in manufacturing, visiting factories and job sites.

This video was inspired by Anthony's speech at the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) held in the United Kingdom on Wednesday 19th February 2025.

If you think you are a nobody, just one person and how can you possibly make any difference to the world, think again.

It all starts with someone.
So if not for This, what?
If not Here, where?
If not Now, when?
And if not YOU, who?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
