A Florida woman has been arrested and charged after cops say she threatened her health insurance company by referencing Luigi Mangione.

With the alleged UnitedHealthcare shooter being the biggest news story this past week, it’s no surprise he’s the talk of the nation. Millions of Americans find themselves in total agreement with Luigi’s complaints. Most sympathize with his anger and many are even cheering him on!

But Briana Boston took her chatter to the wrong place. In an arrest affidavit obtained by ABC News, police are saying the Lakeland resident was on the phone with Blue Cross Blue Shield when she threatened the company rep. Apparently, the representative gave her the news that her recent claim was denied and she went off about how evil they were. At one point she alluded to the shooting, saying:

“Delay, deny, depose. You people are next.”

Of course, these were the words engraved in the bullet casings that were found at the scene of UHC CEO Brian Thompson‘s fatal shooting.

Despite the difficulty we imagine courts will have prosecuting such a vague statement, Boston was charged with threats to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism. Seems pretty excessive — especially considering an investigation showed she doesn’t even own a gun. And in Florida! According to the affidavit she only “used those words because it’s what is in the news right now.” Hmm.

The 42-year-old was booked into a Polk County jail with bail set at a shocking $100,000! Multiple critics of the harsh treatment noted that a quick search found a man charged with rape the same day — and his bond was set at just $75k. There were so many supporters, a GoFundMe was set up to help pay Briana’s legal fees — but it seems to have been taken down. Hmm.
