BIG Bass Through the ICE - Michigan Ice Fishing

I met up with my buddy Joe Catania and he took me fishing on a small sneakhole of a lake known for giant pike and bass. We set up our tipups and the shanty and fished for baby bluegill while we waited for our flags to go off.

I got the privilege of using Lake Effect ice rods and man are they awesome. The ability to see a bite through the rod itself rather than having to use a small strike indicator was awesome. Like I said these were tiny fish, so the bites weren't big at all.

We ended up catching a handful of really nice bass, but unfortunately no giant gator heads. This is my second ice trip of the year and both have been awesome!
