The 8th Match of Women’s Premier League 2025 was played between Delhi Capitals Women and UP Warriorz Women at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru on 22nd February, 2025. In this match UP Warriorz Women defeated Delhi Capitals Women by 33 runs.In this match Delhi Capitals Women won the toss and opted to bowl first.
UP Warriorz Women while batting first scored 177 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and gave target of 178 runs to Delhi Capitals Women to win. In reply Delhi Capitals Women could score only 144 runs all out in 19.3 overs and lost the match by 33 runs.
UPW batted very well and scored 38 runs for 2 wickets in 6.1 overs. Chinelle Henry top scored with 62 runs from 23 balls only hitting 2 fours and 8 sixes. Tahila McGrath made 24 runs and Kiran Navgire made 17 runs. Captain Deepti Sharma contributed 13 runs.
In reply DCW made only 144 runs all out in 19.3 overs and lost the match by 33 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues top scored with 56 runs from 35 balls hitting 8 fours and one six. Shafali Verma made 24 runs. Niki Prasad made 18 runs and Shikha Pandey remained not out on 15 runs.
Grace Harris took the Hat trick in the last over of the game. On first ball She got the wicket of Niki Prasad then on second ball she dismissed Arundati Reddy and on hat trick ball caught and bold Minnu Mani.
Kranti Goud and Grace Harris took 4 wickets each and one wicket each was taken by Chinelle Henry and Deepti Sharma. Chinelle Henry was adjudged the Player of the Match.
