I. Modern Idolatry - Exodus 20:2-3
* A. The Idolatry of Possessions and Wealth - 1 Timothy 6:10

II. Answering Idolatry, the Power of God - Ephesians 1:15-20a
* A. The demonstration of the greatness of His Power was the Resurrection of Jesus from the grave
* 1. Showing He has power to create life beyond death 
* 2. A life that was supernatural as Jesus’ resurrection body demonstrated
* B. That same power raised the spiritually dead to life 
* 1. In Adam all died spiritually. separated from God - Eph 4:18
* a. We were raised from the dead - Ephesians 2:1
* b. Sins forgiven we are made alive with Christ - Colossians 2:13
* 2. We are to walk in that newness of life - Romans 6:11-14
* V. In our weaknesses the power of God can shine through us - 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 
* 1. God’s purpose in Paul’s life was to bring glory to Himself through Paul’s weakness
* a. It became evident that the power in Paul’s ministry was not due to natural talents and gifts
* b. The power was supernatural, the power of the Holy Spirit indwelling him
* 2. We are likewise given struggles weaknesses to show that it is God’s power at work in and through us
