If I Wanted Eternal Life, I'd Look Here

Summary- There is nothing that compares to the deep and personal connection of faith and spirit with the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is the grounding and foundation source of purpose, peace, rest, love, joy, salvation, strength, mercy, etc. He encompasses the beginning and the end of entering into the eternal life given within the Kingdom of God. Don’t let anyone fool you. There isn’t any other way to the Book of Life, the restoration of the connection to the Almighty Father of Heaven and Earth than through His Son.

An incredible insight is given in this passage to the mind of Christ. To Christ, eternal life is wrapped in the importance of knowing the Father. Now salvation is given through the sacrifice of the shed blood of Christ on the cross to pay the price of rebellion against the will of God. What we call ‘sin’. What Jesus shows us here is that to know God is to know that His will is the redemption of mankind through Christ. This insight was a stumbling block to the religious leaders of that time, but it is knowledge of a direct relationship and trust in God through the faith in the sacrifice of His Son to wash our rebellion against God clean. God has always wanted a direct connection to mankind, each one of us individually. No one left behind. In an age where information runs out of our pours but we live in tremendous fear and doubt, reach for the truth. Eternal life rests in the only true God, the Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus.
