Discover the breathtaking beauty of Turtuk in spring! Nestled in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, India at almost 10,000 feet, Turtuk is one of the northernmost villages in the country, just a few kilometers from the Line of Control with Pakistan. This remote village, surrounded by the towering peaks of the Karakoram range, was part of Pakistan until 1971.
In spring, Turtuk bursts to life with blooming apricot orchards, lush green fields, and snow-capped mountains in the background. Experience the charm of this Balti community, known for its warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage. Wander through the narrow lanes, see the traditional stone houses, and witness a way of life that remains beautifully untouched by modernity.
Join us as we explore Turtuk’s vibrant landscapes and capture the essence of life in the high Himalayas. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share for more travel adventures!
I shot all the photos and video with my Nikon d850.
