I interview a kidnapping survivor, and talk about what was the experience of being kidnapped by the Taliban like, how the survivor manage to escape from Taliban captivity, what were the psychological effects of being held hostage by the Taliban and the strategies he used to stay hopeful during captivity. He also lived with the Mujahideen before being kidnapped.
We also discuss why Taliban kidnaps people, the purpose of kidnapppings (why kidnappings happen) and what to do when kidnapped. We briefly go through why Taliban was was formed. Now Kidnapping and hostage taking has become a common occurrence in Afghanistan following the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. We discuss mock execution strategy and who are the Taliban really.
