D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), February 19, 2025 — President Donald Trump tore into Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a “dictator without elections” after Ukraine was left out of the first formal peace talks between Washington and Moscow in Saudi Arabia.

Trump Calls Out Zelensky’s Power Grab

In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump pointed to Zelensky’s decision to suspend elections, warning that without swift action, “he is not going to have a country left.”

“A Dictator without Elections, Zelensky better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left,” Trump wrote. “In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only ‘TRUMP’ and the Trump Administration can do.”

Vance, Musk Back Trump’s Stand

Vice President JD Vance doubled down on Trump’s remarks, posting on X: “I just wanted to make sure no one missed it.” Vance further confirmed that restoring elections in Ukraine is now official US policy.

Elon Musk also chimed in, calling out Zelensky’s autocratic tendencies: “Zelensky cannot claim to represent the will of the people of Ukraine unless he restores freedom of the press and stops canceling elections!”

Trump Exposes Zelensky’s ‘Gravy Train’

Trump accused Zelensky of dragging out the war to continue receiving billions in US aid.

“Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the ‘gravy train’ going,” Trump said. “I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died.”

The president has previously pushed for Ukraine to repay US aid by granting America a stake in its rare-earth mineral deposits. While Zelensky initially expressed interest, he later rejected Trump’s proposal for 50% ownership, claiming it was not in Ukraine’s best interest.

Ukraine’s Leadership on Defense

Zelensky attempted to hit back, accusing Trump of falling for “Russian disinformation.” However, insiders suggest that his real frustration comes from being sidelined in high-level negotiations. The Ukrainian president is set to meet with US special envoy Keith Kellogg in Kyiv on Thursday, in what many see as an effort to repair relations.

Meanwhile, European allies scrambled to downplay Trump’s criticisms, with former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arguing that Trump’s remarks were meant to jolt Europe into action.

“When are we Europeans going to stop being scandalized about Donald Trump and start helping him to end this war?” Johnson asked.

America First Foreign Policy in Action

As Trump moves forward with direct talks to end the war, his administration continues to shift US policy toward results, not endless spending. With Ukraine left out of negotiations, the message is clear: the days of blank checks are over.
