Oil Painting on Canvas by K. McCain in Wood Frame - Forested Riverbank

K. McCain is a artist whose works have been found online at sales located in Florida, California and Canada, with this piece being purchased at a North Iowa estate.

This Mid-Century oil painting on stetched canvas features a forested riverbank with hints of larger hills along the horizon. The work is housed in a 17 3/8" x 15 3/8" x 1 7/8" wood frame which is decorated on the front with three gold painted bands that frame a outer tan painted band and a inner tan linen border.

The oil painting's canvas is mounted to a 8" x 10" wood frame which is fastened to the larger frame. The frame weighs approximately 2 3/4 pounds and has a 2 1/2" long metal sawtooth hanger bracket attached to the top of the smaller frame.

The left back of the larger frame has "833" written on it using a red marker and faint "Blouea" written using a black pen. The top back of the smaller frame has "8 X 10C" written on it using black paint. A metal sawtooth picture hanger is attached to the back of the smaller frame and a series of metal staples are visible on the back.
