Is The Penny *Finally* Dead?

While several proposals to eliminate the penny have been introduced, Congress has not moved forward with any official plans. Some countries, like Canada and Australia, have successfully phased out their smallest coins by rounding transactions, but the U.S. remains hesitant.
Will the U.S. finally follow suit? With digital payments becoming dominant, the penny’s usefulness continues to fade. Whether it officially disappears or lingers as a collector’s item, its role in everyday transactions is clearly dwindling.
