Boeing's 5,800-acre facility provides over 3.2 million sq. ft. of industrial space, supporting aircraft assembly, sustainment, and modification at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, CA integral to advanced aerospace and defense manufacturing. This highly classified military installation is where Boeing works on next-generation propulsion systems, stealth technology, and even anti-gravity aircraft.

Operating under a GOCO model, Boeing has utilized Building 150—originally built in 1954 and expanded in the 1970s—to contribute to major programs, including the Space Shuttle Orbiters.

Additional projects include work on B-52F Stratofortress bombers and the Boeing 747-100SR Shuttle Carrier Aircraft.

The Joe Davies Heritage Airpark, located at the site, showcases a selection of historic aircraft associated with Plant 42's legacy.
