"The Face on the Bar Room Floor" is a funny short film that was both written and directed by Charlie Chaplin in 1914. Charlie Chaplin also stars in this film, he is a down and out tramp. The movie is loosely based on the poem with the same name by Hugh Antoine d'Arcy. A devastated vagabond, Charlie Chaplin visits a crowded bar, and then he rleates the story of how he fell in love with a woman, only to have had her taken by a friend.
