The incidents occurred mainly in the Antonio Nakayama, Barrancos, Cañadas, Plutarco Elías Calles, Adolfo Ruiz Cortines, and Felipe Ángeles neighborhoods. As a result, two individuals wearing tactical vests lost their lives, and two civilians were injured and transported to local hospitals for medical attention.

Authorities also seized three vehicles, one of them armored, as well as two long guns and a handgun.

The Sinaloa Public Security Secretariat reported that the confrontations began in the eastern part of the city, specifically on Patria Avenue, where two commercial establishments were attacked with gunfire.

Subsequently, the shootings spread to other areas, causing alarm among residents. Videos shared on social media captured the sound of gunfire and showed students seeking shelter during the incidents.

In response, authorities deployed an operation in the affected areas and urged the public to remain cautious.
