Greenbo Lake State Park, one of Kentucky's finest, has recently undergone significant improvements thanks to a collaborative effort involving Greenup County Tourism, the Greenup County Outdoor and Recreation Committee, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the leadership of Judge Executive Bobby Hall, along with Fiscal Court members Lee Wireman, Derrick Bradley, and Earnie Duty.
On November 19, 2024, a habitat enhancement project was completed at Greenbo Lake, ensuring its status as an exceptional fishery for years to come. Special thanks go to Greenup County Jailer Larry Pancake and the inmates who carried out the work, as well as the many contributors who made this project possible: Chris Whitten, Lowe's, Bridgeport Equipment, Scioto Block, Sunbelt Rentals, and County Judge Bobby Hall.
Recognition is also extended to Brenda Danner, Doug Jordan, Roy Luther, Rob Williams, Keith Hieneman, Aaron Timberlake, and Roy French for their invaluable support. Finally, our heartfelt gratitude goes to Tom Timmerman and his team with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, including Nathan Hayes, Clay Johnson, Chad Nichkell, Nick Keaton, Bobby Widener, Ciara Kinsey, and Ashley Reaves, for their dedication and hard work.
This project marks an exciting milestone for Greenbo Lake State Park, further enhancing its appeal to visitors and nature enthusiasts.
