Israelis mark 500 days since hostages were seized by Hamas gunmen

As the sun rose in Tel Aviv on Monday (February 17), families of Israeli hostages waded out to sea to float a flag depicting an hourglass in the Israeli colors to mark 500 days of captivity for hostages seized by Hamas. On the nearby shoreline, the number 73 and 500 were written on the sand to reflect the 73 hostages that have yet to come home.
